COMMENTS Cursive Sephardi script from the 13th-15th centuries. The horizontal text is a list of posts of the aljama with the names of the individuals who held them: collectors, tax administrators, judges of the rabbinical court, accounts revisers, executors, auditors…The central part of this list, under the title that just says "eighteen" contains a list of 17 names that could be the members of the council of the aljama. They are: Bonjudà Cresques, Issac Abram, Shlomo Issac, Saltell, Abram Maimon, Jucef Issac, Jucef Blanes, Belsom…, Bonastruc Nasmiers (?), Issac Bonafed, … , Shlomo…, Moshe Bonjuda, Shlomo Astruc, Astruc de B…, Issac Jucef, Astruc Asmies. The vertical text is a statement by the rabbinical court referring to the sale of houses in the Jewish quarter of Girona which belonged to the teacher Hanania, son of the teacher Isaac. |
