Event's Description

Next Saturday will be a sgrafitto decoration workshop conducted by Activ History, in the III Cycle of Activities in the Jewish Quarter of Segovia.

In a funny way and thought for the whole family, they will show several aspects of Sephardic culture in Segovia during the Middle Ages and now in the Jewish Quarter. Abraham Senneor's house, nowadays Didactic Centre of the Jewish Quarter, will be the stage to discover the main elements of Jewish culture and customs, religion, music, stories, vocabulary and representative objects.

After the explanation, and accompanied by music, the workshop will take place. The decorative technique of sgraffito is very popular in Segovia and gives much of his personality and beauty to the Jewish Quarter. Templates will be available with the most representative of the Centre, the emblem of Abraham Senneor, and tools necessary to conduct a workshop suitable for all the family.
