Didactic exhibition about the Jewish festivities and traditions celebrated all year long.
The exhibition introduces the visitor to the organization of the Jewish calendar and shows the main familiar and communal celebrations, depending on the cycle of festivities and the cycle of life.

A total of 23 awarded people from different fields of comunication and humanities,arts, social sciences, scientific and technical research, letters, concord and international cooperation: George Steiner, Jean Daniel, Maya Plisetskaya, Woddy Allen, Bob Dylan, Óscar Niemeyer, Paul Krugman, Marcos Moshinsky, Judah Folkman, Bert Vogelstein, Roberto Weinberg, Robert Kahn, Emilio Rosenblueth, Arthur Miller, Susan Sontag, Paul Auster, Amos Oz, Yehudi Menuhin, Daniel Barenboim, Yad Vashem, Isaac Rabin or Simone Veil are represented on this exhibition.

The doors, as a physical and symbolical element, have an outstanding meaning in the history, the culture and the life of the Jewish communities which, coming from different places, arrived at the lands of Sepharad.
The exhibition is organised in 3 areas:
Outer doors > doors of life and exile
Doors to the holy areas > doors of the synagogues
Doors to the private areas > doors of the houses

Hundreds of Hebrew texts appear inside the covers of medieval books preserved at the Historic Archives of Girona.
Once recovered and restored, these texts will constitute one of the most important sources of medieval manuscripts in Europe.
